Designing & Creating Your Own Baby Shower Invitations

A little while ago, we had done a Princess Themed Baby Shower photo shoot. We designed most of the products ourselves including the baby shower invitation cards. They were fun and simple to create, but best of all they were cost effective while being unique.

After deciding the theme for your shower, the date and venue, the next thing on your To-do list would be the invitation. Below are a few options for you to choose from:

Online Invitations: This choice is the fastest, easiest and most environmentally friendly. They are free invitation sites that allow you to design and send out invitations within minutes. One of our favourite is Evite.com. You have plenty of templates to choose from, it`s easy to use and maintains your RSVP. Alternatively, you can design your own invitation. Even Microsoft Word has some adorable invitation templates. You can then email your evites and maintain a spreadsheet for your RSVP guest list.

Professionally Designed Invitations: You can have a graphic artist design printable invitations for you. This doesn`t  have to be over priced. Etsy has some amazing artistic talent. We have worked with a few to design our logo and marketing material. They also do invitations at reasonable costs. Feel free to message us for referrals and contact information on graphic artists that we have worked with on Etsy. Many offer the additional service of printing and delivering your invitations for you . You can also print them yourself or at a local printer`s.

DIY Crafty Invitations: You could go the crafty route of creating unique invitations for your baby shower. Card stock can be purchased at any craft store such as Micheals or DeSerres. Alternatively, if you are on a tighter budget, the corner Dollar store has some pretty card stock as well. Get a few coordinating ribbons and accessories to get to work!

Whichever option you choose, make it a fun project and infuse the theme of the party into your invitation. It`s the first thing the guests would see for your event. Make a great first impression on them!
